For those of you who might be writing a book, or doing other serious research, this site might be of help.

crossing the border and returning to Mexico. Monitored primarily by
U.S. Cavalry and Texas Rangers.

Most border outpost were, for the ...

I aways thought Chief was the last official Cavalry horse on
the rolls.

Didn't they even have a ceremony after his death at FT. Riley?

Is there a technical issue on the horses classifiction or the rolls?

Just curious

Sandy,

Thanks for the heads up on "Riding"

Thought I see if one was out there on E-bay, sure enough, there it was.

Price was right, so I bought it.

What is covered in the 86 pages.

Thanks,

You guys must have a lot of stroke!

I just went to the web site, the article is there, but there is no picture of a saddle accompanying it. (Maybe my computer won't show faulty data.

I'll have to go home and look at my wife's copy tonight to see the picture.

I'm probably the only one who didn't have one, but I saw that "Chasing Villa" seemed to be the "bible" for the Punitive Expedition. In looking for a copy, I found a source for a reprint that seems to be a good price for a "working copy". Should anyone need a copy:

$14.95 for paperback reprint. This ...

Re: Comments made earlier in this thread about "They Came To Cordura"

I was watching this video last night and was supprised at a comment made (I know it was a movie) just before the charge that went something like this "I wish we had our sabres".

If this movie centered around 1916-1917 wouldn't ...
