Many years ago I was a Mounted Police officer in the eastern United Stats. During that time (50 years ago) I purchased this saddle from an RCMP officer and rode this saddle during my mounted police career. I am now attempting to identify the saddle and to get some sense of its historical and monetary value. I have maintained to saddle in excellent condition and at some time may consider donation it to a museum.

At this time, I am simply looking for information on the saddle makers origin and saddle type. Based on photos I have seen, it appears to be a M1917 Officer's Field Saddle.

Thanks for your insights.

Dr. Steve
