I found a fantastic military figurine at my local Wal Mart. Made in China of course for TMP International, under the title of "McFarlane's MILITARY Series 3". An Air Force Security Forces K-9 handler, complete with snarling German Shepherd on a leash. A black GI dressed in camouflage uniform, complete with a sandy looking base to mount the figures on. The detail is amazing. For a supposed toy, it looks real! There are five other figures in this series too. Well worth checking out. Apparently "McFarlane" also does fantasy dragon & other figurines. The entire thing is superbly modelled in plastic & possibly hand painted? (The figures peg into sockets on the base.) Grant.

Ah, McFarlane... Being a comics pro, I am not unfamiliar with this enterprise. Todd McFarlane, the master of it all, started out doing comic art and is best known for the "Spawn" character. The detail on these models is generally very good, though the German Shepherd fancier in me figures they could have paid a bit more attention to the detail of the dog's back markings.
